An independent, coeducational PK-Grade 12 private school located in historic Fredericksburg, Virginia

About

When I first set foot on the Fredericksburg Academy campus in 1996, I felt at home almost immediately. After I walked the halls and observed students and teachers in action, I found myself wishing I had been able to attend a school like this one.

It has been a privilege to call FA my second home for the past two decades, first as Athletic Director, then as Head of Middle School, Dean of Students, and now as Head of School. I am proud to say that even as the school has grown over the years, we have remained true to our mission to nurture the potential of every student. Every day, I am amazed by the work being done by students and teachers in our classrooms, science labs, art studios, theater, and on our fields and courts.

As you view our website, I hope you will take note of the features that make Fredericksburg Academy the leading independent school in our region: 100 percent college acceptance, small class sizes (7:1 student-teacher ratio), passionate teachers, and opportunities in the arts and athletics for all students. My greatest hope, however, is that you will schedule a visit to campus so you can experience the same warmth I felt on my first visit in 1996. It is impossible to understand the FA difference without seeing it for yourself. We would love to welcome you and your family. Thank you for your interest in FA.

Go Falcons!
