Welcome to Fredericksburg Academy's Camp FA!

Our 2024 Summer Camps run from June 3 to August 16 for children in rising Kindergarten through rising Grade 12 and cover a wide range of activities including: Sports, Arts, Culinary, Outdoor, STEAM, Programming, Leadership, and much more! Over 150 Day Camps, 45 Sports Camps, and unlimited FUN!

            How to Register

            *Registration closes every Wednesday at 11 p.m. for the following week's camps

            New Campers

            • Please enter parent's First Name, Last Name, Email, and Password under the "New User Sign-Up" on the right side below
            • Follow prompts to sign up for Camp FA!

            Returning Campers

            • Enter the parent email address you used last summer under "Sign-In" 
              • Enter password, then continue with registration
            • If you forgot your Password
              • Click "Reset password" (under the orange Login button)
              • Follow steps sent to your email
              • Once password is reset, then you can "Sign-In" 
            • If the email you entered does not match our records and you receive an error message:
              • please try a different email, or you will need to register as a New Camper (New User Sign-Up) and you will need to refill out all of the household and form information

            FA Parents

            • The same email and password you use for Falcon Club, Enrichment, or the FA Lunch Program, works for Camp FA
            • Just enter that parent email address and password under "Sign-In" 
            • Then continue with registration

            Registration Tips

            • Only ONE parent/guardian can be logged into your household account at a time to register camper(s)
            • Use a Laptop, Desktop, or Tablet when registering
            • Only use ONE browser and ONE tab to register
              • It is recommended to use the most up to date browser version
              • The suggested browser is Chrome; but Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc are all supported when using the most up-to-date version
            • After submitting a registration, you may see the status of "Processing" beside the submitted items
              • Regardless of the length of time you see the "Processing" status, the items that appear as "Processing" are reserved
              • You will receive the confirmation email once all items have changed to "Registered" or "Waitlisted"
            • Additional Troubleshooting Information
            • Once you have either claimed or created your account, you can log in any time to view your current and past registrations, select more camps, upload medical forms, or add Pizza Friday's!

            Policies & Procedures 2024

            Camp FA Policies & Procedures 2024

            Addition to the 2024 Policies & Procedures:

            • A camper who has a respiratory illness, must be symptom and medicine free for 24 hours before they can return to Camp FA.
            • The updated Respiratory Virus Guidance recommends that people stay home and away from others until at least 24 hours after both their symptoms are getting better overall, and they have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication). Note that depending on the length of symptoms, this period could be shorter, the same, or longer than the previous guidance for COVID-19.

            Essential Eligibility Criteria

            Camp FA Essential Eligibility Criteria

            Camp FA is open to all individuals who acknowledge the ability to perform the following Essential Eligibility Criteria (EEC):

            • Kindergarten campers must turn age five by September 30, 2024
            • Breathe independently (i.e., not require medical devices to sustain breathing)
            • Manage personal care independently or with assistance of a companion (provided by the family)
            • Manage personal mobility independently or with a reasonable amount of assistance
            • Follow instructions and effectively communicate independently or with assistance of a companion (provided by the family)
            • Fall within the manufacturers height and weight requirements for specific equipment usage
            • For camps that have a water component:
              • Independently maintain sealed airway passages while under water
              • Independently turn from face-down to face-up and remain floating face up while wearing a properly fitted USCG approved personal flotation device
            Code of Conduct

            Camp FA Code of Conduct

            Camp FA is committed to providing campers with opportunities to learn, to promote self-confidence, to develop decision-making and social skills, to learn new or improve current skills, and to be environmentally aware. Our philosophy focuses on the need and growth of both the individual camper and the overall group. In order to maintain a positive and safe environment, our campers and parents/guardians are expected to follow Camp FA’s Code of Conduct.

            Be respectful by...

            • treating others with respect and courtesy.
            • openly listening to others thoughts and opinions.
            • not taking part or leading any bullying, harassment, name calling, unwanted teasing or exclusion of others.
            • respecting other campers’ belongings and camp equipment/supplies.
            • telling the truth.

            Be responsible by...

            • wearing appropriate clothing/shoes to camp each day.
            • informing camp staff of challenges you have with another camper, activity, or other situation. If staff is not informed, they may not be able to stop the problem or provide assistance.
            • accepting personal responsibility for my actions.

            Be positive by...

            • communicating appropriately, which excludes the use of foul language, gestures, harsh words, or slurs.
            • actively showing support to the activities, campers, and staff.

            Be committed by:

            • having fun, learning, making new friends, and having new positive experiences.
            • challenging myself to actively participate in all of the scheduled activities.
            • staying with my group.

            Be safe by...

            • following (and encouraging others to follow) all rules and regulations provided by counselors and/or the facilities that are being utilized.
            • refraining from deliberately causing bodily harm. I understand that pushing, hitting, kicking, and fighting are not acceptable behaviors and will not be tolerated.

            As a member of the camp, I understand that this experience is for ALL campers, and if my behavior is deemed to be outside the code of conduct and/or unmanageable, any of the following may be a result:

            • Verbal counseling from camp staff
            • Timeout from scheduled activities
            • Camp Report (documentation and Parent/Guardian notification)
            • Parent/Guardian conference
            • Suspension or dismissal from camp

            We have reviewed and agree to abide by Camp FA’s Code of Conduct.

            Medical Forms

            Additional Medical Documentation (required as needed)

            All medications, inhalers, and epi-pens, in original containers and in a labeled zip lock bag, will need to be given to the Camp Nurse on the first day of your child's camp session.

            Carpool: Drop off and Pick Up

            Carpool Map

            • Except for Extended Morning Camp, carpool drop off opens at 8:50am for all morning camps
            • The following sports camps: Golf, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Soccer, Cross Country/Running, Flag Football, and Tennis follow the red arrows and drop off / pick up in the Athletic Field Parking Lot (across the street)
            • Basketball Camps follow the yellow arrows along Columbia Drive and drop off / pick up behind the Sports Center / Gym
            • Extended Morning Camp drops off in front of the Upper School building (blue arrows)
            • All other camps follow the blue arrows, enter off Carr Drive, and drop off / pick up next to the Camp FA flags
            • Nurse Station - on the first day of each week of camp, you can drop off medications, inhalers, epi pens, etc at the Nurse Station before heading to drop off
            • Look for the Camp FA flags for exact place to drop off / pick up in each location
            • If you are running late (after 9:10am or 12:10pm), please check in at the Camp Office in the Upper School building (blue arrows)

             

            Cancellation & Refund Policies

            Cancellation

            • Summer Camp
              • A $50 administrative fee will be deducted from the refund of camp fees if a cancellation occurs, in writing, prior to 15 business days before the first day of the cancelled camp. This fee is per camper per cancelled camp.
                • For example, if a camper is enrolled in both STEAM Academy in the morning and Afternoon Explorers in Week 2, there would be a $50 administrative cancellation fee for each of those camps.
              • A $25 administrative fee will be deducted from the refund of camp fees if a cancellation occurs for an Extended Morning or an Extended Afternoon Camp, in writing, prior to 15 business days before the first day of the cancelled Extended Morning/Afternoon camp. This fee is per camper per cancelled camp.
                • For example, if a camper is enrolled in both Extended Morning and Extended Afternoon during Week 4, there would be a $25 administrative cancellation fee for each of those camps.
              • All fees are forfeited if a cancellation occurs on or after 15 business days prior to the first day of the cancelled camp.
              • If a cancellation occurs due to a COVID-19 quarantine or isolation, at the sole discretion of Camp FA, a refund might be made, but the maximum refund would be half of the camp fees paid.
              • If a cancellation occurs due to extenuating or unforeseen circumstances, at the sole discretion of Camp FA, a refund might be made, but the maximum refund would be half of the camp fees paid.
              • To cancel a session of camp, please email [email protected]

            Refunds

            • All fees will be refunded if a camp is cancelled by Camp FA.
            • Refunds are provided by the same method as payment. Credit card payments are refunded to the card used for payment.
            • Camp fees are not refunded or pro-rated for missed days due to weather, part-time attendance, missed days of camp, including if a camper is dismissed because of a disciplinary action.
            Childcare Tax Credit for 2022 or 2023

            If you attended Camp FA in 2022 or 2023 and need a copy of your summer expenses for tax purposes, please:

            • Log in to your online account 
            • Click 'View Details' under Submitted Registrations
            • Click the blue button: Download Printable Season Account Statement
            • FA's Tax ID number is listed in the upper right of this Household Account Statement
