Highland Dancing is a tradition in Scotland. Originally a form of military exercise, it combines the strength and endurance of a sport with the grace and precision of an art.  Learn the different steps to form the dances, the lore and history, but mostly have fun hopping to bagpipe music with a purpose!

No materials, kilts or prior experience needed.  Wear loose fitting athletic clothing and socks.

FA's Director of Development, Heather Muir has been teaching Highland Dance since 1992 and she danced and competed from 1973-1992.
