Chris lives in Fredericksburg, VA with his wonderful wife and two children. When not on campus at Fredericksburg Academy, he can be found spending time outside with his family, whether it’s fishing, mountain biking, camping, whitewater canoeing on a section of the local Rappahannock River or surfing SUPs in the ocean.
I have spent most of my time outdoors, living and working in Florida. As an avid member of my local crew team I spent countless days on lakes and beaches. As a proud Navy wife, I moved to Virginia 11 years ago and I have enjoyed exploring the many trails, rivers, and historical sites our beautiful state has to offer. I hold a Masters degree in Elementary Education, and focused my studies on the benefits of utilizing outdoor learning to develop and enhance early language and literacy skills. I believe children learn best through inquiry and hands-on experiences. I look forward to sharing my love of learning in the natural classroom- outdoors and immersed in nature!
I am teaching JK this year and have taught in Early Childhood for 20 years. My heart is definitely with our youngest learners. It’s such a joy to see their excitement and love for learning!
