Fourth through Fifth Grade

  • Monday through Friday
  • 9 a.m. – 12 noon
  • Cost: $150

Disc Golf and Ultimate are now on the FA campus! Disc golf is played much like golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, though, players use a flying disc or Frisbee®. The sport was formalized in the 1970s and shares with golf the object of completing each hole in the fewest strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest throws). Ultimate is an exciting, non-contact team sport. The rules you need to know in order to start are easy to pick up and teams cultivate a ‘home grown’ attitude, meaning they’re willing to absorb you into the team and let team members teach you as you play. Ultimate also promotes Social and Emotional Learning. SEL is “the process through which children and adults develop skills needed to effectively manage themselves and their relationships with others.” Field trips will be taken to Pratt Park and Loriella Park.
