Focus:  Whether just learning a sport or aspiring to play in college, the Summer Sports Academy at FA provides exceptional opportunities for individuals of all skill levels to develop confidence, improve their on field / court performance, to overcome adversity, to compete as hard as they can, to accept responsibility, and to have fun.

Its goal is to assist each player with the best individual and team-training programs designed to take each player's game to the next level. Each camp is limited to only 12 campers, so you'll get plenty of individualized instruction from Coach Rick in your 1.5 hour session!

High School. This camp will not only spend time on developing individual skills through a variety of  rigorous drills and training activities, but will focus on the mental and strategic aspect of playing at the JV and Varsity levels. It will help you prepare for your fall school season.

This camp is a partnership between FXBG Lacrosse and FA. These camps will be led by UMW Assistant Lacrosse Coach Tyler Houston. In addition to coaching at UMW and teaching at FA, Coach Houston was a High School Head Coach for three years, a Middle School Head Coach for three years, and he is the current defensive coordinator for the Switzerland National Team. He also serves as a Board Member and Varsity Coach for the FXBG Lacrosse Club.

Beginner and Intermediate Skills. This camp will guide players through a series of individual and team drills culminating in a scrimmage. Players will gain knowledge of the game, and enhance their personal skills in order to improve their team play. The focus of this camps will be creating positive lacrosse experiences and ensuring each athlete has a memorable experience.

There might even be a guest appearance by FA Varsity Coach Karen Moschetto.

Initial player evaluations ensure programming is suited to each player at this camp, with an emphasis toward intermediate and advanced skills, field awareness, fitness, and tactics. Programming includes speed, agility, and quickness training; small-sided games; full-sided games; on-field activities; gym time; and pool time. Individuals, recreational teams, club teams, and school teams are appropriate for this camp.

Goalkeeper Camp. This camp will cater to developing goalkeepers with emphasis on individual skills development, distribution principles, decision-making, and tactical play. Goalkeepers receive appropriate play in small- and full-sided games with other camps. Programming includes agility and quickness training, on-field activities, gym time, and pool time. Rising fifth graders and older are appropriate for this camp. Rising fourth graders with goalkeeping experience are welcome.
