After School Opportunities
The end of the school day is the beginning for some of FA's most meaningful and memorable learning opportunities.
Third through fifth graders experience the plant life cycle firsthand as they learn about plants' nutritional needs, how to garden, the difference between organic and conventional produce, and how to transition a garden. The group also helps our community Food Bank by donating food from the garden, plants, and canned goods.
Falcon Club is more than just after-school care for students, with special enrichment classes sparking students’ interest and creativity in a variety of areas, such as First LEGO League robotics, Chinese culture, Sea Perch, mindfulness, and pottery class. In the spring, first- through fifth-graders train to take part in Fredericksburg's annual Great Train Race as part of running club. Fifth Grade students may participate in an after-school string or band classes.
