Empowering Student Athletes

Unlike many schools, FA encourages students to participate in team sports even if they’ve never played before. The athletics program teaches all student-athletes to play as hard as they can, to have fun, to overcome adversity, and to learn how to win and lose gracefully.

FA’s athletic offerings begin in sixth grade. There are 30 sports teams throughout three seasons of competition. Fredericksburg Academy is a member of the Greater Piedmont Athletic Conference along with the following schools: Quantico Middle/High School, Highland School, Wakefield School, Foxcroft, Randolph-Macon Academy, and Tandem Friends.

Collegiate Athletes

Student-athletes who intend to continue their athletic career at the college level demonstrate passion, a strong work ethic, and most of all, discipline.

FA student-athletes are supported by their coaches and college counselor to ensure a prospective college has the full picture of each student-athlete and works with them individually to find the best fit and opportunity.
