Xavier Richardson Scholars
The Xavier Richardson Scholars program was established by Fredericksburg Academy's Board of Trustees in 2012 to extend a Fredericksburg Academy education to high-achieving minority students for grades 9-12. Richardson scholars have gone on to continue learning and leading at the University of Virginia, the University of the District of Columbia, Virginia Commonwealth University, and other distinguished institutions.
"I am very humbled to have this program named in my honor because of the great opportunity it has provided to students over the years of a truly outstanding education. As a parent and grandparent of children who have had the benefit of an independent school education in New York, I have a great appreciation and much admiration for the FA experience the Xavier Richardson Scholars and many of my community mentors have received. It has greatly ensured their continued success in college and graduate school and serves as a foundation for their success as adults." - Xavier Richardson
Scholarship is renewable if kept in good standing for up to four years.
