It’s incredible to me to consider how far Fredericksburg Academy has come since its founding in 1992. The PK-8 school that opened its doors to 60 students on September 8, 1992, now has over 400 alumni who are leaders in their careers and communities.
We had no way of knowing, at that time, that Fredericksburg Academy would unequivocally reign as the region’s best independent, college-preparatory school.
More than a quarter century after its founding, there is still no other school like FA in the region. Educating three-year-olds through high school seniors on a 44-acre campus, Fredericksburg Academy is a diverse, dynamic educational institution with small classes, master teachers, an Honor Code, and 100-percent acceptance to four-year colleges and universities.
Yet, Fredericksburg Academy’s strength lies not in statistics but in its community. A community that has never been stronger or more committed to helping it endure.
Each year, more alumni are choosing Fredericksburg Academy for their own children, solidly establishing a legacy of education from one generation to the next. I cannot think of a more meaningful measure of value, can you?
Randy Abilmona ‘18 said the following as he delivered the Class of 2018 farewell address to the student body last May, “The curriculum at FA is unmatched. The leadership of our student leaders is unmatched. The community here, and the care and compassion the teachers have, is unmatched...We are all truly lucky to be a part of this school, so be thankful for it.”
Fredericksburg Academy is at an exciting juncture. Momentum from past success is colliding with future potential right before our eyes. We have an amazing opportunity not just to continue moving forward, but to truly soar.
As you learn about the various ways you can invest in the future of Fredericksburg Academy, I hope something speaks to your heart and that you decide to make a charitable gift to this extraordinary institution. Whether you are a current parent or grandparent, alumni family, or someone who believes in education or in strengthening the Fredericksburg region, I’d like to invite you to join me and many other supporters to help Fredericksburg Academy Falcons reach new heights. Your gift and your support will be treasured.
